On August 3, the first wind turbine of the Tan Thuan Phase III Intertidal Wind Power Project in Vietnam, built by China Energy Engineering Group Guangdong Electric Power Design Institute Co., LTD. (Energy China GEDI) under the EPC contract, was successfully hoisted, marking the project's official entry into the peak construction phase.
The project is located in the intertidal zone along the coast of Ca Mau Province, Vietnam. This phase has an installed capacity of 25 MW, including four 6.25 MW wind turbines, 22 kV submarine cables, and other supporting facilities. Upon completion, the project will provide stable and efficient clean energy, helping Vietnam further optimize its energy structure and promoting sustainable regional economic development.
The wind turbine hoisted has a hub center height of 118 meters, the highest among similar completed projects in Vietnam. Its blades were lifted using the rotor-assembly hoisting method, with a maximum lifting height of 134 meters.
