On May 18, the Egypt Kom Ombo 500 MW Photovoltaic Power Plant EPC Project, constructed by Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction Co., Ltd. (ZTPC), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Corporation (CEEC), received the Provisional Acceptance Certificate (PAC) from the owner. This milestone signifies the completion of all construction work and the formal handover of the project for operational use.

As Egypt’s largest single-unit photovoltaic project to date, it is located approximately 60 kilometers northwest of Aswan City in southern Egypt, covering an area of about 10 square kilometers. The photovoltaic field boasts a DC installed capacity of 560 MW and includes a supporting 220kV substation. Over 1 million solar panels were installed for the project.
