On October 23, the Arctech Saudi Jeddah 5GW Solar FactoryProject,contracted by China Energy Construction Group Co., Ltd. on an EPC turnkey basis, was completed and officially commenced operations.

TheProject, located in the Third Industrial City of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, approximately 60kmfrom Jeddah Port, covers a total construction area of 35,679.72m2. The facility includes two workshops, one administrative office complex, and multiple auxiliary facilities such as2power distributionrooms,2 air compressor rooms, a fire water tank, a domestic water tank, along with related structures, equipment foundations, andoutdoorsupporting works. TheProject involvescomplex construction elements, including large-span steel structures, spatially compact deep excavations, and variousirregular-shaped equipment foundations.

The successful execution of theProject will establish a 5 GW annual production capacity forPVtracker systems in the Middle East for Arctech, supporting Saudi Arabia’s vision of building a completePVindustry chain. This milestone not only demonstrates the strength of manufacturingof China,but also brings green energy to the region, further promoting the “Factoriesof China+Constructionof China” model across the Middle East. During the construction phase, theProjecthasgenerated substantial local employment through localized hiring and technical training, ensuring synchronized progress betweenconstructionprogressand social responsibility fulfillment.
